Frank Williams is a resourceful man who took over the motorsports world a full 360 degrees. He was a Formula 3 driver as well as a distributor of spare parts for racing cars. He provided a home delivery service across Europe, carrying engines and chassis in his Volkswagen van. In 1966 he founded Frank Williams Racing Cars. When Frank Williams created his own team, he said that his goal was that of winning the world championship and his dream came true: 16 FIA, 9 of which as a constructor in partnership with Cosworth, Honda and Renault and 7 as drivers, with Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve. The team achieved 114 victories, 308 podiums and 128 pole positions.
Intense and profitable teamwork helped him to achieve significant recognition: Knight of the Legion of Honour and two Queen’s Awards for Export Achievement.
